September 16th, 2005 Since the after effects of hurricane Katrina are far from over, I thought it would be a good idea to update all our representatives, dealers, and faithful customers in regard to the present status of Richard Gray's Power Company. We are especially happy to report that all employees of Richard Gray have been located and are safe. While virtually all remain displaced while the city of New Orleans recovers and rebuilds, we are very thankful for what we have, our families, friends, and health. We have completed the transition of operations to our Chicago manufacturing facility and are continuing to process and ship orders as they are received. Sales will continue to be operated remotely until the office is once again safe to be inhabited. All phone lines and faxes have been re-routed to the appropriate individuals and should be functioning normally, but service has been intermittent, so please have patience as there is obviously a lot of damage to the communications infrastructure in the gulf area. As the situation continues to develop and present new challenges we will certainly do our best to keep you abreast of our situation. I would be remised if I didnt take a moment to thank all the people that have called and offered support. The assistance and caring that we have received from friends and strangers alike has been both overwhelming and inspiring. Particularly, I would like to thank the following companies and individuals that have been extremely generous; NetSuite, CDW, TMI, Caster Communications, Network Telephone, AV Revolution, and Creative Forms & Supplies Inc. On a final note, I wanted to personally thank both Rick Komendera and Tammi Gagnon for their efforts in keeping Richard Gray rolling during this tumultuous time. Both Rick and Tammi selflessly placed the needs of the company before their own. Their efforts not only allowed us to continue normal business operations but also make a successful showing at the CEDIA conference in Indianapolis, where we launched the new RGPC PowerBridge UPS. While we received several industry awards at the show, the greatest award was the enormous outpouring of well-wishes from dealers, manufacturers, and representatives of the press. It was truly reassuring to know that our industry is comprised of such warm and caring people. As we count ourselves among the fortunate, we certainly do not want to forget those still suffering greatly from this catastrophe.
